Project Information

The CUTE project is a 1-year pilot project between Cambridge University and Tsinghua University, Beijing. It involves the design, development and delivery of two integrated EAP course modules which combine online learning support materials with face-to-face interaction. Module 1 will focus on Listening and Speaking Skills and Module 2 will focus on Writing Skills.

The main outcome of the pilot project is to empower university teachers in China to improve their academic English so that they are able to communicate effectively and appropriately in English in particular to:

• teach bilingually
• write and present papers in English in international conferences and colloquia

The project methodology is based both on the integration of skills and the integration of online, classroom and independent learning.
The project main aim is to design a model that can be scalable and reproducible throughout Higher Education in China.
